Bhavish Ratna was a money launderer known to the black market as the Hawaladar because he used a hawala system spread through 34 restaurants across 18 different countries to make untraceable money transfers between criminals. Operating from his headquarters in New York City, Bhavish moved money for terrorists, human traffickers, and drug cartels, disguising the transactions as restaurant deliveries.
