Agnes Keen is the daughter of Elizabeth and Tom Keen.

Background[]

Agnes is named after her adoptive great-grandmother, Agnes Scott, who is the mother of her adoptive grandfather Sam Scott. Before she was born, her mother and father were discussing names for their child. After her birth, Liz decides to name her newborn daughter Agnes.

After the death of her parents, Agnes's living relatives are Katarina Rostova, Susan Scott Hargrave, and Howard Hargrave.

Elizabeth discovered her pregnancy in “Mr. Gregory Devry”. She was assaulted by a man who accused her of being a traitor. Keen was taken to the hospital, where the doctor informed her that although she had broken some ribs, the baby was fine. In “The Vehm”, Liz created a list of pros and cons of keeping the baby, which Tom discovered after she left for work. Afterwards, she would have informed Red, but he already knew, having noticed because of her humor and habits.

Lately, as Liz constantly wonders about giving her child up for adoption, Tom makes it clear that he wants it, and Red himself tells her about her own mother, Katarina Rostova, whose pregnancy was also unplanned but ended up seeing the child, Liz, as a blessing. Finally, she realized that she had been right when she considered that her life would always be full of violence, partially due to Red's presence, and called an adoption agency.

Elizabeth made an agreement with the agency so they would ensure that her baby would be adopted by a couple willing to take an open adoption, which means that she would be able to be in touch with the baby. In “Alistair Pitt”, however, she's informed that the couple rejected the open adoption due to Liz's case with the attorney general.

When Liz finally finds a couple willing to take an open adoption, however, she externalizes to Red how difficult she thinks it might get. In the last minutes of “Lady Ambrosia”, Liz is seen reading to the child in her womb.

Months probably have passed in the following episode, “Drexel”, where the pregnancy looks more evident. In the final minutes, Liz watches a recording of Tom at the adoption agency, telling that he thinks Liz would be a good mother, and she feels the baby kicking. Then, she goes to the hospital and tells Tom that she wants to keep the child.

Tom and Liz decided to get married once again, and the wedding ceremony takes place at a small church in D. C. In “Mr. Solomon: Conclusion”, however, Tom and Liz needed to escape from his ambush at the church, and, while they do it, the car crashes and they make their way to a hospital, where Liz goes into labour.

After the death of her father, Liz gives Agnes to her grandmother (Tom's mother) Susan Scott Hargrave, in “Ruin”, while beginning her search for her husband's killers.

Two years after the death of her mother in “Konets”, Agnes is being taking care of by Harold Cooper and his wife Charlene in “The Skinner”.

Liz prepares to flee to Europe with her daughter, but retracts, thinking to accept Reddington's offer, to kill him and take his place as the leader of his syndicate empire.

Agnes spends a pleasant afternoon in Central Park with her mother, Mrs. French, Dembe and Pinky; on the program of games, walks and ice cream.

The little girl receives a call from her mom as she gets ready to go to bed. Liz tells him that she is sad and tells him about her friend who is sick. Clever as she is, the child understands that the friend in question is going to die. When Liz explains that he's had a great life, she cheers him up saying he was lucky. They exchange "I love you" and Liz promises Agnes to see her the next day. What Agnes doesn't know is that she won't see her mom again, who is going to be shot on the sidewalk by Elias VanDyke, who was working for Townsend.

The Skinner[]

Agnes is revealed to be staying with Harold Cooper and his wife Charlene Cooper for 2 years after Liz's death at her request. Red although sad understands and accepts the idea, but observes her from afar playing football with his club.

The Skinner: Conclusion[]

Dr. Roberta Sand, Ph.D.[]

Agnes was waiting for Red to arrive to spend a day with her. During their memory card game, Agnes tells Red that she knows that he is from Russia. Surprised, Red asked Agnes how does she know that he's from Russia and she tells him that her mother told her and she also tells him that all I needed to remember was that Raymond Reddington was the most important person in her life, besides her. Also that Liz was glad that Agnes got to meet him that day and she wished that they could meet again. Red told Agnes that “I’m really glad we did.” Also, Agnes reach out across the table to hold Red's hands and told him that she also knows from her mother that Red likes to hold hands.

Between Sleep & Awake[]

Flashbacks revealed that after Elizabeth's death, she had a will drawn up that after she passed away, Harold and Charlene will become Agnes's legal guardians. Later Ressler visited the Cooper house and saw Agnes through the window celebrating her mother's life and he comments that Agnes is a super spy in the making.

Boukman Baptiste[]

Agnes is in the Coopers kitchen with Harold, when Red arrives with Weecha. Agnes is surprised to see him and rushes to hug him, while explaining her daily activities: orchestra practice before school, a math quiz and English presentation and trying out for a play. Before she left to get a ride from her fremeny Sadie, she also to reminded him to read "Pippi Longstocking" to her, which he was far behind. Later that night in Agnes's bedroom, Red sits next to Agnes reading the book, while Agnes was holding her stuffed bunny, she inherited from her mother.

The Chairman[]

Cooper is looking for Mimi, Liz's stuffed bunny rabbit that has become Agnes's. He explains to his friend Lew that he played a key role in the breakup of the Soviet Union. The latter advises him to tell the young girl about her past, she deserves the truth, even the complicated parts and that includes the death of her mother. According to him, without that, she will never be able to turn the page.

At Liz's grave, Cooper talks about Agnes to the deceased, explaining that she is a good student, less so in math though just like him. He was joined by Reddington, he tells her to accept the exhumation of Liz, because she would have undoubtedly wished that everyone had answers, Agnes included. Red gives Harold the missing rabbit that he found in the car, Agnes probably forgotten when she fell asleep on her way home from the opera. Cooper says he is relieved, explaining to the criminal that he does not realize what he means to the young girl. He replies that if, explaining that as a child, when Elisabeth could not sleep due to colic, she would hug him to her cheek and calm down immediately.

In the evening, Agnes is happy to find her stuffed animal. Cooper offers to ask the girl anything she wants about her mother, her grandparents, promising to tell her what he knows, no matter what her questions. She begins by wanting to know more about Mimi. He shows her the burns and explains that her rabbit got them after her grandfather Raymond Reddington hid a USB drive inside that contained a very important secret that changed the course of world history. Agnes points out that it's Pinky's name, but Cooper adds that it's mostly a long story. She wants to learn more, because it is also hers. Cooper begins by talking about Katarina, of Russian origin, and her meeting with Raymond, an American. He explains that they each spied for their country, then they spied on each other, but that they had one thing in common: both deeply loved their daughter, her mother. Then he says that many other people loved him too.
