Fransisco Luis Marquez, known to his friend and enemies alike as "El Conejo" (the Rabbit) was the leader of the Marquez Cartel, a Mexican drug cartel that used to deal in the illegal trade of cocaine in the past. However, since then, Marquez changed his merchandise of trade to avocados, taking over a considerable share of the exports of this particular product to the United States by the means of murder, kidnapping, and torture from the family farming operations that used to run that business. Marquez ran his entire cartel through a highly sophisticated computer server system designed by the Scripps brothers, that were indicated to him by Raymond Reddington through Tadashi Ito. In the past, Don Marquez and Reddington crossed paths in an underground river in the jungle in Quintana Roo.
