Unanswered Questions[]

  1. Guillermo Rizal
    1. Why did the guard attempt to pull a gun?
      1. A: He thought he could shoot 1 of them and escape.
      2. A: The guards' hesitation indicated that they knew what they were guarding was illegal, the guard was therefore preparing for an eventual firefight to keep the police back while Rizal escaped with his research.
  2. Elizabeth Keen
    1. What inspired Keen to run a longer search of kidnapped children?
      1. A: She likely wanted to get more data to confirm the suspicions of Reddington and a stronger case for searching before bringing it to the task force.
    2. Does Keen fear that Agnes Keen will be targeted because of her family?
      1. A: Keen earlier had Agnes live with her grandmother because she feared Agnes would be in danger by her search for the truth about Reddington. After finding the "truth" that Dom told her about Reddington she is taking Agnes back to raise as her own, seemingly because she isn't as afraid anymore.
  3. Donald Ressler
    1. Why was Ressler surprised that Red has a surveillance team?
      1. A: It may have been more of a surprise that he had a team specifically surveilling McMahon. Ressler knows that Reddington has followed others in the past, but he might have expected something to be different when it came to the presidential advisor.
  4. Aram Mojtabai
    1. Why was Aram interrogating Miles Gordon?
      1. A: Aram was operationally trained earlier on in the show, after which he would be cleared to assist both in the field and with things like interrogations.
  5. Anna McMahon
    1. Why did Anna need Senator Christensen’s vote on the farm bill?
      1. A: So the farm bill would pass in the senate.
      2. Q: Why is the farm bill so important?
        1. A: The farm bill might not have been too important for the overall arc of the show, but likely one of the standard bills she and the president wanted to get passed.
  6. Why did the doors break so easily?
    1. A: The apartment chain locks are more frail than they appear and are actually near useless against a break-in. A deadbolt is more effective (unless the person breaking in has a heavy foot/kick and kicks in the right spot), but it was not used in this case.
    2. A: The school door just used a knob lock. Some schools do not use deadbolts for offices. Unless the door's wood is made of solid wood and not the faux-wood most doors are made of, kicking down the door is very easy.

Slanders on the FBI[]

  1. Why did the Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) not arrive with Ressler and Keen?
    1. A: The Task Force and HRT are not part of the same unit. It's possible the HRT had protocols of their own to contend with, such as issuing weapons and armor. Keen and Ressler just needed a warrant, so it was faster for them to arrive than a whole squad.

Trivia[]

  • This episode was dedicated to the memory of 2 crew members that passed away: John Gallagher and Iden Kamishin.
