Louis T. Steinhil was a notorious con artist and thief who had a legendary reptutation among his fellow con men. Many confidence artists consider it an honor to work with him. His name is actually an anagram of ”the illusionist”. As The Illusionist, Steinhil would create highly complex and elaborate illusions with the help of several other con men, set to deceive his targets into giving him what he wanted. Steinhil once stole 3 Dutch masters from the Vasa Museum in Stockholm by staging a fake heist to the museum that resulted in a fire, only to them enter the Vasa Museum dressed as a fireman, clear the building and take the masterpieces himself.
