“Marvin Gerard: Conclusion, Part 1” is the twenty-first episode of season 9 of The Blacklist and the hundred and ninety-fifth overall.
Synopsis[]
With Marvin Gerard exposed, Raymond Reddington and Harold Cooper are at a crossroad. Dembe rejoins Reddington to protect him while Weecha Xiu is hospitalized. Cooper wants to apprehend Marvin to clear his name, and Reddington wants Marvin dead. Marvin plans to kill Reddington by using a man named Henrick Fisker, who runs a death squad of highly trained ex-military operatives. Unbeknownst to Reddington, Marvin surveilled his car and he overhears Reddington planning a meeting. Marvin sends Fisker's squad to the meeting and nearly everyone there is killed, but Donald Ressler and a FBI SWAT team arrive just in time. Reddington is able to identify Fisker by a captured operative who had laser tattoo removal, and realized his car had to be surveilled for Marvin to have known of the meeting. Reddington apprehends Fisker and determines he was supposed to meet Marvin at Culpeper Airport. He then proceeds to feed Marvin false information via the listening device as to his whereabouts. Marvin heads to the meeting and is cornered by Reddington, while Cooper and the task force track Marvin to the same location. Cooper orders an evacuation of the terminal which gives Marvin a chance to escape. A furious Reddington calls Harold and says he refuses to work with the task force anymore.
