Ryan Eggold is an American actor playing the character of schoolteacher, assassin, and spy Tom Keen on NBC's The Blacklist.
Early Life
Eggold was born on August 10, 1984, in Lakewood, California to Karen (née Benik) and James Frederick Eggold. He attended high school at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he participated in many theater performances, and graduated from the University of Southern California theater arts program in 2006.
Career
Eggold is best known for his roles as Ryan Matthews on the teen drama 90210 and Tom Keen on the crime drama The Blacklist.
Eggold held recurring roles on Young and the Restless, Entourage, Out of Jimmy's Head, Brothers and Sisters and Veronica Mars before he secured his first role has a series regular on FX's Dirt as Farber Kauffman. His second role as a main character, was on The Blacklist.
In theater, Eggold made his stage debut with the production of Dead End. Since then, he has appeared in Leipzig, Marat/Sade and Amy and Elliott, which he also wrote, directed and starred in.
Outside of television, theater and films, Eggold has appeared in a Shenae Grimes music for Myself & I. His first role as main cast was in the web series Daybreak, in which he plays the character Ben Wilkins.
