Unanswered Questions[]

  1. The Cryptobanker is mentioned in “Marko Jankowics”.
  2. Raymond Reddington
    1. What is the conspiracy that Red is obsessed with?
      1. A: A conspiracy against America is being plotted. Anna McMahon, the woman who hired Bastien Moreau, is one of the key players.
    2. Why did the witnesses during the impact statements state that executing Red would solve the problem? His syndicate would be taken over by another criminal.
      1. A: They probably didn't consider that and would think that Reddington's death would scatter the criminals in confusion.
    3. Even if Keen had not hit the alarm, Red’s escape plan relied on a razor thin margin of success for the timing.
      1. A: Red is a strategist and accounts for those margins. What he doesn't account for is wild cards like Elizabeth's arrival.
  3. Cryptobanker
    1. Why did the Cryptobanker attempt to use his gun?
      1. A: He believed that he could outfight the police.
    2. How many of the Cryptobanker’s clients will be arrested?
    3. Will Pierson Diagnostics avoid bankruptcy?
      1. A: Breach of contract or negligence perhaps. Since a third party was acting as the “breaking the chain” (novus actus interveniens, new act intervening), likely not. Maybe be a question of how well/badly their network was protected.
  4. Elizabeth Keen
    1. Why did Keen hit the alarm?
      1. A: The arm was male, and differently dressed.
      2. Q: She was the person who told them about the warden.
  5. Michael Sima
    1. Sima’s desperation to win indicates that he is seeking a political career.
      1. A: Unlikely. He has made no indications that his victory was for him, but only for justice. In that regard, he is more similar to Martin Wilcox in that he has a single-minded pursuit of justice. His hatred towards the task force's cooperation with Reddington during the discovery, his open distrust speaking to Cooper at his office, and his backtalk to the judge is further evidence. He even showed hesitance when asked to lie in court about his accusation.
  6. Prison
    1. Why did the phone not work at the prison?
      1. A: Interference from the walls and electrical systems.
    2. Why did the prison not insist that Dembe Zuma provide his authorization for landing? If the alarm had not sounded then Red would have escaped.
  7. How did Oleg Gromov recognize Donald Ressler and Samar Navabi so quickly?
      1. A: Their appearance and body language.
