Zarak Mosadek was a powerful international drug lord and a major player in the opium trade that operated from the Helmand Province in Afghanistan. In addition, Mosadek served as the Afghanistan Deputy Interior Minister for Counter-Narcotics and used this position to protect his syndicate. Mosadek was the drug supplier for the Nash Syndicate. To maintain secrecy and focus attention on his competitors, Mosadek served as a CIA informant on the Taliban.
